Article IV – Record Keeper

Section 1 – Office

Office is held until an election, retirement, or death.

If seen to have done a poor job, or a challenger to the office wishes to take the job, a vote shall be held for the office of record keeper. Simple majority is required for both the vote for an election and the replacement or stay of the record keeper.

If no one asks for the job, then the current record keeper or 2nd oldest current member gets the office.

Section 2 – Responsibilities

The record keeper holds onto all records, weekly highs and season totals, of past Ass Clowns Leagues available.

Acts moderator during elections, unless vying for commissioner’s office.

Keeps track of updates on the Charter. In addition, notifies the league of infractions that the commissioner or the league needs to deal with and of “points of information” that pertain to a debate/voting violation.

This is the nerdiest rule in this whole charter. I move to have it stricken from the entire thing.

This is a FANTASY BASEBALL LEAGUE for christ's sake. It's already nerdy enough. We just went from playing madden 08 all day to being addicted to World of Warcraft. I don't think this position is necessary either, maybe the record keeping part, but I think the rest of it is just an attempt to make the position something more important than it is. There's no need for you to let us know when anyone has done something wrong, we have enough people here that there will be bitching about it almost immediately. And even if one person figures it out before everyone else now he should wait for the "record keeper" to say something about it. It's just another unnecessary headache to make things a lot more complicated than they have to be. This potsy like charter is small enough that everyone in the league can remember the rules. It's not the constitution, and it shouldn't be because then I would feel even more pathetic for talking about it than I already do.

And chances are if there has been an infraction that no one has realized, then it's not hurting anyone to begin with so who the fuck cares. Let's just play fantasy baseball

I agree with Sam. It's fantasy baseball, not a fucking country. I think someone is just on a little power trip and needs to feel special by having an official title
